We should go for our genome sequencing because of the following reasons:

1. From this, it is possible to know the development of certain diseases and hence consider early measures to manage it.
2. It will provide clues to the best treatment for the ongoing disease.
3. By our consent and anonymously, information on our genome sequencing can help in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in other people down the line.

We should avoid the sequencing of our genome because of the following reasons:

1. Most of the genes of our genome are still unknown and hence unnecessary genome sequencing is a waste of time and money.
2. Most physicians are not skilled in how to understand genomic data.
3. Information from genome sequencing can upset ourselves because it may contain information that we must not have to know.
