Difference between a primary source and secondary sources of research:-
a) Primary sources of research provide raw information taken from various placed whereas secondary sources provide information which has been analyzed from the primary sources.
b) It can be said that primary sources of research can be more reliable and valid as it is the direct source of information unlike that of secondary sources of research.
c) Secondary sources of research are dependent on the primary sources whereas primary sources of research are independent and don't need to rely on anything.
d) For historical research, the primary sources of research can be letters, footage (photograph and video), official records and documents, etc. Secondary sources of historical research are articles, literature review of any documents, biography, etc.
How to measure reliability and validity:-
The validity of research can be measured when research fulfills its aim and objective. On the other hand, when research shows consistent data or information repeatedly, it can be said that the research is reliable.
