Ans. Analyze the terms validity and reliability

Validity - validity refers to the degree to which an instrument measures what it is supposed to be measuring

Reliability - reliability is the ability of the tool to create reproducible results .

Meaning in quantitative research - in quantitative research, the variables are measured and quantified where as in qualitative research the variables are not quantified.

Examples of validity and reliability

-internal validity - the extent to which it can be inferred that the independent variable caused or influenced the dependent variable

- External validity - the generalizability of the observed relationships across sample , setting , or time

- construct vslidity - the degree to which key constructs are adequately captured in the study

Example of reliability

- test retest reliability - it refers to the degree to which test results are consistent over time.
