Answer #1

Answer:

Concerns related to subsidizing antimalarial drugs:

* subsiding artemisinin based combination therapy(ACT) in antimalarial drugs:

* Randomised trials, non randomised trials studies that compared the effects of ACT prices subsides for private retailers to no subsidies or alternating ACT mechanisms.

* Because of the high cost of some antimalarial drugs they are subsided and low cost drugs are selected which are having same therapeutic efficacy.

* This leads to the decrese the financial burden on patient and and also better treatment.

* In zanzibar and Nigeria the ACT drugs helped drive down sales of one drug treatments.

* Those called monotherapies which are cheaper are a problem because they can spur drug resistant malaria.

* The leverage of an international subsidy of combination therapy discourage the distribution of immunotherapies, the use of which might foster incresing resistance to antimalarial drugs in future.

* The increasing death toll from drug resistant falciparum malaria is cause for international concern.

* The artemisinins are the only first line antimalarial drugs appropriate widespread use that still work against all chloroquine resistant malaria parasites.

* If resistance to artemisinin is allowed to develop and spread before drugs are at hand, malaria's toll could even rise higher.

These are the concerns related to subsidizing antimalarial drugs.
