Can someone help me with some info about Silver Nitrate?

is an ionic compound?
is a metal cation or anion?
what is the compound composed of?
is it treated as a hydrate?
is it soluable in water?

Silver Nitrate is an ionic compound as it dissociate fully into ions

While naming, cation is written first and anion later.

Thus, Metal is cation and Nitrate is Anion

Metal = silver = Ag+(in cationic form)

Anion = NO3-

Thus, Compound is AgNO3

AgNO3 is an inorganic compound and is not hydrated. In Hydrated form it will react with water to give AgHNO4.

AgNO3 is ionic hence will be soluble in water as water is polar and like dissolves like.
