Yes. These people listed above are definitely leaders through various tasks and initiatives that they have taken throughout history. Let’s look at each of them

• George Washington served as the first president of USA and led the country through a period of transition. In addition he was the commander in chief of the continental army and thus was a legitimate leader.
• Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery by advocating equal rights and civil rights for people from all background and race. The idea of diversity and inclusivity has been derived from his movement.
• Oprah Winfrey faced struggles, challenges and made her life an example of overcoming obstacles. She also helped many other people do the same. The changes made for the betterment is an example of true leader.
• Franklin Roosevelt led the people of America through the period of great depression. It was a challenging time and a strong leadership was needed for the country to see through the tough times.
• Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon and has built a multi-billion dollar from his small beginning. He currently heads and lead the entire organization of Amazon.
• Steve Jobs showed how a dying company (Apple) could come back from brink of jeopardy through innovation and excellence in quality. He is well known for leading Apple back into its top position.
• Bill Gates is the chairman of board of Microsoft and also the founder. It is one of the largest technology company in the world and is well known for his technology and market visions.
• Warrant Buffet is a leader in the stock market who has demonstrated his prudence and methodology as an example to reap benefits in a risky trading situations.

Considering all these people have overcome extraordinary challenges, and difficulties, we can conclude that they are all example of leaders.

• Nelson Mandela: United an entire nation through inspiration, perseverance and inclusivity. Never gave up even when he was imprisoned and fought through with his conviction till his last days.
• Mother Teresa: Led wide scale humanitarian effort across the globe.
• Henry Ford: One of the key leaders of industrial revolution that swept the world.
