  • It must have the following multiple second-level categories: Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Close-out.

My question is, for initiation, what type of information is that asking for? For example: initiation: read the syllabus, buy the text book. What else can be listed for under initiation.

Initiation- This phase is “starting the course”. In this project initiation phase, the project is kick-started by collecting information about the project management course. The initiation activities include collecting details on the project management course such as-

• This phase starts off by identifying the purpose of pursuing the project management course why it is required and what is needed are questions to be considered in this phase.
• Gathering information for a good university or institute for the project management course
• Discuss with friends and lecturers about the course offerings
• Develop resources such as buying a textbook
• Buying stationaries and other items as required
• Identifying infrastructure related to project management course such as computer
• Develop a checklist for the scope of plan what are your interests and what you expect from the course.

Thus, it is pertinent to say that the initiation phase is pertinent for all project management lifecycle. It is not worth continuing a project without knowing its purpose. The initiation phase helps to identify the purpose of the study or project and helps to analyze the resources required to implement them.
