I recently changed my apartment and rented a new place (about 2 months ago). That, the lease agreement, is the most recent contract that I have signed. I did read the agreement. It is true that we often sign (physically or electronically) many contracts without reading the details of the contracts. This is especially true when we are downloading apps on our phones, installing software, and other day to day activities. However, in this regard I did read agreement because a rental agreement is a high value contract.
Accommodation is one of the basic human needs if there is conflict in the future, it could make any tenant or landlord’s situation very complicated. As a result, it is important to make sure that both the parties on the same page and there is no conflict in the future. Moreover many of the clauses in a lease contract are easy to understand and helps a tenant clarify his doubts before moving into an apartment. This is why I read the agreement/contract.
