Question 4 options:

Goodness of fit Test 2: the researcher collects a second set of data on the Deer ratio question. This time he collects a sample of 1200 deer. The p value from the data is 0.192. Claim: the ratio of deer is 10% :50% :40% bucks to does to fawns.
Is the conclusion to reject or fail to reject Ho?

Answer #1

Answer

Null hypothesis is that observed ratio of deer is equal to the expected ratio of deer

p value is 0.192, which is greater than 0.05 or 0.10 significance level. So, p value is large to fail to reject the null hypothesis.

Since we failed to reject the null hypothesis, so we can say that there is insufficient evidence to warrant the rejection of claim that the observed ratio of deer is equal to the expected ratio of deer.
