A) The metabolic rate will be increased to raise the body temperature according to the thermostat. Heat is produced at the time of metabolism. This heat is used to increase body temperature, causing the fever.

B) When the fever is established blood flows from innerside to peripheries to transfer the heat to skin. This excess blood flow to skin characterised with red face.
