Answer #1

1 range at 14 KW
1 range at 16 KW

1 x 14=       14 KW
1 x 16 =      16 KW

total 2 ranges 30 KW

find the average value by dividing the total connected load by the total number of ranges is,

30 / 2 = 15 KW

From Column C Table 220.55, demand for 2 ranges of 12 KW rating is 11 KW.
15 KW range exceeds 12 KW by 3 (15-12 = 3).
5 % x 3 = 15 per cent ( 5 % increase for each KW over 12 KW)
11 KW x 15 % = 1.65 KW

Total Demand is 11 KW + 1.65 KW = 12.65 KW
