Answer #1

Answer:

There are four suits spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs with 13 cards in each suit. Spades and clubs are black;

hearts and diamonds are red.

Total number of cards in standard deck of cards = 52

Total number of red cards = (13 hearts) +( 13 diamonds) =26

one of these cards is selected at random, A denote the event that a red card is chosen.

Hence we want to find,

P(A) = (Total number of red cards ) /  Total number of cards in standard deck

P(A) = 0.5

The Probability that red card is chosen is  P(A) = 0.50
