He samples 35 of his employees, and finds that they made an average of 23 calls. Louis wants to know if his employees’ calls are significantly different than the company’s expectations at the 2% significance level.

Test statistic is

Test statistic = 4.44

Critical value of z at (two tailed ) is

zc = 2.33

Since value of test statistic > 2.33

We reject the null hypothesis

There is sufficient evidence to conclude that employee's call is significantly different from company's expectation.
