Explain why using the ratio of actual stator current to rated stator current is not a good measure of torque, especially at low values of torque

Ratio of the actual stator current and rated stator current is not a good measure of the torque because stator current also compute losse in which some losses are not proportional to the torque such as iron loss and windage loss. At lower value of torque stator current loss component become comparable to load component therefor at low values of torque ratio of the actual stator current and rated stator current is not a good measure of the torque.
