What is the purpose of the silver (I) nitrate solution? (in SN1) Do not handwrite
In case of SN1 reaction first leaving group departs and carbocation formed ,Then stable carbocation react with nucleophile (generally solvent in case of Sn1).First step is rate determining step in case of SN1 ,so as soon as leaving group departs reaction will occur at faster rate. Also polar protic solvent favours SN1 reaction so when we use
AgNO3 along with Ethanolin reaction of alkylhalide AgNO3 forms precipitate with halide atoms ,this results in faster loss of leaving group so the net reaction will occur at faster rate. That's why we use AgNO3 in SN1 reactions.

A chemist prepares a solution of silver(I) nitrate (AgNO_3) by measuring out 269. mu mol of silver(I) nitrate into a 300. mL volumetric flask and filling the flask to the mark with water. Calculate the concentration in mmol/L of the chemist's silver(I) nitrate solution. Be sure your answer has the correct number of significant digits.
A Chemist prepares a solution of silver nitrate by measuring our 44.7 micromol of silver nitrate into a 200 mL volumetric flask and filling the flask to the mark with water. Calculate the concentration in mol/L of the chemists silver nitrate solution.
