For this question, imagine that you are an accountant. During tax season, you are very busy. It is difficult to keep up with all of the customer requests. During the rest of the year, you are less busy, with time periods of not enough work to fill the time. What marketing could you do to attempt to balance the workload across the year? Is that possible in this field? (2 part answer)

To balance the workload across the year you, as an accountant, should market the different types of services that you provide besides the tax related services. An accountant provides an array of services like cost accounting, internal audit, statutory audit, management accounting, and payroll related accounting. These services are provided throughout the year and hence an account can market these services offered by him. When work comes for these specified services the accountant will be busy and engaged throughout the year. Thus the accountant will have to systematically market himself and his services so that potential clients are informed about the different works and different types of services being provided by him.

Yes, this is possible in this field. As mentioned above the task of an accountant is not restricted to the field of tax. An accountant can be engaged for a variety of other activities and engagements like preparing a budget, determining variances, dealing with pay-roll accounting, dealing with management accounting etc. These activities can be done once the tax season is over and can be performed throughout the year. Thus this is possible in this field and to make it possible the accountant just has to properly market the different services provided by him.
