Answer #1

Retribution can be stated to be an acceptable basis for the purpose of supporting the death penalty as it is the process of seeking punishment for the crimes based upon their magnitude. Although there have been various debates on how and why certain crimes must not be considered or the fact that death penalty is not moral, there have been instances where the victim or the family has suffered death and severe physical and mental harm. However, death penalty on the basis of retribution must be given with adequate supportive evidence and the lack of corrupt decisions.
