is executive pay too high in the united states? Is it an ethical issue is or is it just a question of paying Executive a market rate?

I don't think that executive pay is too high in the United States. As I believe any company pays its executive considering the skillset, knowledge, experience, and most importantly, the vision he brings to the organization. The executive is considered to be the person whom the company relies the most on to grow the organization and take the business forward. Hence, the payment is not too high. And, I believe it's not an ethical issue, rather it is just a question of paying executive at a market rate. And, organizations hire executives on their market-rate itself, considering various parameters.
