Answer #1

Energy = 219 kJ/mol

Energy = 219 x 103 J/mol

Wavelength of photon = [(h) * (c) * (NA)] / (Energy)

where

h = Planck's constant = 6.626 x 10-34 J.s

c = speed of light = 3.0 x 108 m/s

NA = Avogadro's number = 6.022 x 1023 photons/mol

Substituting the values,

Wavelength of photon = [(6.626 x 10-34 J.s) * (3.0 x 108 m/s) * (6.022 x 1023 photons/mol)] / (219 x 103 J/mol)

Wavelength of photon = 5.466 x 10-7 m

Wavelength of photon = 5.466 x 10-7 m * (109 nm / 1 m)

Wavelength of photon = 546.6 nm

The color corresponding to this wavelength is green (500 - 565 nm)

Hence, the color of complex ion should be green.
