A steel rotating shaft is subjected to a nending moment of 150Nm and a force F (tensile). What is the max force that can be applied without causing fatigue failure using soderbergs equation.
Sy = 300 Mpa
Sd = 200 Mpa
Soderbergs equation: Sa = Sd ( 1 - (Sm/Sy))

To solve this problem, i have assumed some data which i think you have forgotten to provide. ie. The shaft has circular cross-section of radius 100mm.

Although i have solved the problem in the more general way so that you will not find any difficulty.
