6.022 * 1023 (Avogadro) number of magnesium atoms have a mass of 24.31 gm

So 0.78 * 1022 number of molecules of magnesium have the mass of (0.78 * 1023 * 24.31)/(6.022 * 1023)

= 0.315 gm ( option C is correct)

Only carbon dioxide forms molecular compound as it has carbon-oxygen (double) bond .

In other cases they have only ionic solids, so they do not form molecules. (option C is correct)
