Answer #1

The compression of the coronary arteries increase when the heart beats at a faster rate due to increase in the contraction of the heart. When the heart rate is higher like during exercise, there is increase in systole which is ejecting the blood into aorta and pulmonary trunk and when there is increase in heart muscle contraction during refilling of the blood. As the systole takes place rapidly, it tends to increase the heart rate and hence leads to increase in the time for the total amount of compression of the coronary arteries.
