HC2H3O2 + LiOH ----- > Li C2H3O2 + H2O

b) A chemical equation for that reaction when HBr is added to a buffer composed of HC2H3O2 and C2H3O2 – is as follows:

HBr+ H2O ---- > H3O+   + Br-

C2H3O2 – + H3O + ------ >   HC2H3O2 + H2O
