choose 4 letters in the alphabet using simple and systematic random sampling. explain how you did it.
There are 26 letters in English alphabets.
Simple random sampling:
It is a technique of drawing a sample in such a way that each unit of population has an equal and independent chance of being selected in the sample.
Suppose we have a box in which 26 cards are present and each card has print a different alphabets then a person with blindfolded selected a random card and we noticed it the 1st card is B and he again randomly draw 2nd, 3rd and 4th card one by one and we noticed each time drawn card is F, A, S respectively.
Thus, the obtained alphabets by this method are B, F, A, S which is a simple random sample.
It is a simple method because there is not any long procedure of selecting samples
The selection is sample is unbiased as it is being selected by a blindfolded person or a selecting a random card without any prior justification.

Systematic random sampling:
It is a type of sampling, in which we have to select only any 1st unit of the population at random, and the rest being automatically selected according to some pre-determined pattern involving regular spacing of the units.
For instance:
Let suppose the pre-determined regular spacing of the units be 4 that means we have to jump 4 units after selecting a unit from the population at random.
Let the 1st unit of the alphabet selected at random be C then on pre-determined regular spacing the other 3 alphabets will be H, M, R.

Would you agree to the statement on random sampling methods. Please explain why. In probability samples “each population element has a known (non-zero) chance of being chosen for the sample.” (StatTrek 2020). Some examples of probability samples are, simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, multistage sampling, and systematic random sampling. Simple random sampling is the population and sample consists of “N” objects, and an example is when people play the lottery. Stratified sampling is based on some type of...

Classify the situation as stratified random sampling, systematic random sampling, or cluster sampling A college decided to survey its students to see how they felt about using a computer in all classes, and how much extra tuition they would be willing to pay for the service. The college made a list of all of the classes registered in the semester and then randomly selected 25 classes. All students in the selected 25 classes were surveyed. The situation is classified as...

D) By using current student numbers a select group of...

3. Determine which sampling (simple random, stratified, cluster, systematic, or convenience) is used in the following situation: a. If we have a population of 100 elements and we want a sample of 50 elements, first of all, we establish the selection interval that will be equal to 5. If we choose the first element, randomly taking a number between 1 and 5, and, at from it we obtain the remaining elements of the sample. 8. Identify if the following situation...
