You are the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a mid-size manufacturing company. The company is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to fill the pending vacancy in the nest few months and you are seeking this position. The process requires that you submit a letter of interest for the CEO position that demonstrates your qualifications based upon your experience and command of the various disciplines required to be a successful CEO. You believe that you are extremely qualified for this position that requires your ability to lead the organization through the Strategic Management process.

Your confidence level is supported by the fact that you have spent your entire career with the company in various departments that includes manufacturing, marketing, finance, managerial accounting and human resources as part of the company’s management development program. This exposure to the core operations of the company has provided you with a vision of what the CEO position is and what is needed to provide the company with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Requirements for the letter of interest:
