This field has helped in understanding better healthcare and understands the difference in various culture and belief. It provides more healthcare service through improved communication. The future is that medical anthropology can help in relating natural science to humanities perspective and hence help in developing better medical technology. It can help in evaluating different diseases, their cause and use of culture and nature in better way for healing. There are many natural ways of treating a disease which can be identified with help of medical anthropology. It can be a booming field for psychological studies which helps in understanding clinical aspects of diseases. In future, the medical anthropology can be used for studying psychological and behavior aspects of different groups and cultures.

An example for the same is study of war consequences and their related traumas for war families of different countries like Guatemala. With help of medical anthropology, one can understand how much war has impacted the families and how it can be reduced.
