The three ways Lean Manufacturing ideas can be applied to the life as a college student :
1. Identifying value : It helps to identify the activities which does not add value to the process that is waste activities. When applying it to the college student life, it is important for students to concentrate on the studies and try to identify the activities which are likely to waste their time such as social media etc.
2. Creating flow : In lean management, when the company wait for carrying out the process is know as the waste. Hence, in studies as well it is important for students to complete it regularly instead of waiting for the midterm to study. It will help them to ensure the smooth flow instead of waiting for the last moment.
3. Seeking constant improvement : In lean management it is the integral part where continuous improvement is seek. While in student life instead of merely studying for exams they must be able to understand the concepts taught in classrooms. Applying these concepts to daily life will enhance their creativity and innovative side.
