Answer #1

It is quite evident that the global climate change has started to show its bearing on our environment. Glaciers have been shrinking, there is an early breaking of ice on rivers and lakes, the ranges of plants and animal have changed and flowering of trees is also altered. The different effects which were estimated by the scientists in the past are started to manifest at present in the form of loss of sea ice, increasing sea level, intense heat waves. The different impacts of climate change which are documented by the scientists are given below=

  • The melting of ice is increased particularly in both the poles. It also includes the different glaciers of mountains, West Antarctica and Greenland ice covering, sea ice of Arctic.
  • This melting of ice is resulting in the increased sea level. Each year, there is an increase in the sea level by 0.13 inches and due to increased melting of ice, this will result in increased sea level.
  • The wildlife and their habitats are also getting affected by the increased temperature and global climate change. The population of Adelie penguin in Antarctica has vanished by 90% due to melting ice.
  • The entire globe is witnessing the increase in the Precipitation (rain and snowfall) while many countries are starting to experiencing the increased incidences of wildfires, droughts, shortage of drinking water

Overall, the climate change is not only going to affect our environment but it can also be a threat to many species and humans are also not any exception. There are many countries such as Bangladesh, Indonesia which has already started o see the negative effects of climate change. Pollution, use of fossil fuel, emission of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases are all the contributory elements to this global change. If the things are not corrected and regulated well on time, the earth will no longer be a blue planet.
