What enzymatic mechanism(s) contributes to glycogen metabolism?
Please explain fully
glycogen is apolymer of glucose .their metabolisam is used in human mainly for the muscle contraction for mainly.their fragmentation require many enzymes .its also permit glucose storage in humans . it include series of reaction in their path way.
# phosphorylation of glucose to glucose 6 phosphate
#isomerisation to glucose 1 phosphate
# formation of uridine 5' diphosphate-glucose
the regulation of this mechanisam is very complex
the allosteric messages allow the adjustment of enzyme activity to meet needs of the cell in which enzymes are expressed
What enzymatic mechanism(s) contributes to glycogen metabolism? Please explain fully
Question #8 (10 points) - During fasting, explain what happens for carbohydrate metabolism (glycogen synthesis/breakdown; glucose synthesis/breakdown/insulin & glucagon levels)
Thank you! please so answer and explain. 4. A proposed mechanism for glycogen synthase is given. Pick the TRUE statement: A X is UTP-Glucose B. Yis UTP C E-COO represents Asn of the enzyme active site D. A glucose carbocation is formed E C1 of the glycogen reducing end acts as a nucleophile 3. In a liver cell with sufficient oxygen, how many ATPs are made from one glucose assuming the cell uses the malate-aspartate shuttle? A. 2 CH reactions:...

QUESTION: you run away from fear of a large snake. Explain: what happens to your metabolism during your run. explain how metabolism changes over time. Please discuss what fuels are providing the energy at each point in time and how organs differ in their fuel usage. be sure to discuss what happens to carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in your major organs (brain, muscle, liver, fat cells, and heart) under each circumstance. Also explain briefly HOW each organ shifts its fuel usage...
Please help me with Metabolism 25 marks question. Thank you very much. (a) The pentose phosphate pathway seems like a biologically wasteful process. For a simple enzymatic reaction, what is the value of the initial velocity when (S) = 3 Km ? - The answer is 3/4Vmax but I'd like to know how they got this answer with steps please. Also sorry but I don't have brackets so I used parentheses around S for concentration.
Please explain the relationship between thermodynamics and the concept of “pKa tuning” with relationship to enzymatic function. How does the ability to “tune” the side-chain pKa of an amino acid aid or harm catalytic function?
What mechanism based on the metabolic intermingling of folate and choline metabolism to help with attenuating fatty liver or liver dysfunction?
