Answer #1

Apart from affirmative action plan, various regulations should be put at place so that the business organisations include workplace diversity in their corporate culture and practices. To promote workplace diversity, organisations should be provided with various benefits or relaxations in taxes or other duties which will motivate them to increase their workforce diversity. Moreover communicating the benefits of a diversified organisations in terms of productivity, creativity and engagement should be highlighted to organisations to encourage them. Suggesting management techniques to manage a diversified workforce will also help the businesses to overcome the fear of keeping a diversified staff.

Yes I believe that it is essential to keep affirmative actions at place irrespective of the anti discrimination laws because these laws assure the organisations to be free from discriminatory practices but do not promise management to develop an environment of equal treatment and equal employment opportunities in all cases as affirmative action makes sure. Moreover Affirmative Actions are formed by management of organisations which monitors the environment, culture and situations of organisation more closely and thus will make sure that no such practice is conduct which in any manner harms the interest of other or leads to unfair treatment or injustice,

There are many situations in a workplace that involve an unfair treatment which Anti discrimination law does not cover or might be skipped from it, therefore it is essential for an affirmative action program to be at place to assess , investigate and monitor the situation properly so that circumstances prevailing in the business environment are based on justice, equal treatment and addressal to less privileged sections.
