what are your thoughts on Non-Government Organization (NGOs)? Especially its effects on local economies. Do NGOs crowding out government spending? or they compliment government spending?
The Non- Government Organizations (NGOs) play an important role in the development of local economies of a country. They represent people and are a medium through which people can address their grievances to the government. The issues raised by NGOs are of national importance.
NGOs do not crowd out government spending rather they compliment government spending especially in times of any disaster like floods, cyclones, earthquakes. They provide both financial as well as physical support to the injured in taking them to hospitals or providing first aid. Since their main objective is national welfare, they compliment government spending to a large extent.
