Would asking the year of your birth be considered a interval or ratio scale?

It also tells us the exact differences between two units of measurements. In the interval scale of measurement ratio doesn't make sense. For example we can't say that 80C is twice hot as 40C. In interval scale there is no true zero. In interval scale 0 doesn't mean the absence of value. For example 0C temperature doesn't mean that there is no temperature.

Ratio scale: The ratio scale tells us about the order, they also tells the difference between two values.  The key point is ratio scale has also absolute zero.

Year of birth is a interval scale of measurement. As we know the exact differences between the two years. Also there is no true zero in year of birth. As we can see that properties of year of birth is matches with the interval scale of measurement. Therefore, year of birth is interval scale of measurement.
