Mary Wollstonecraft had been appreciated as a major political thinker, moreover, she was also known for her contributions to educations. According to her the Justification of the rights of woman was more often than not related as a completely political treatise. Though, like Plato’s Republic and Rousseau’s Emile, It can be seen as both a political and education treaties.

It raises a question on the view of female education take ahead by Rousseau and others who regarded women as weak and not capable of reasoning effectively.

Wollstonecraft didn’t support the education in dependency that Rousseau supported for them in Emile.

She argued that a woman must be intelligent in her own right. Mary upheld that this did not refute the play of the woman as a mother or a career or as a housemaker.

She preserved that submissive wives are foolish mothers. For Mary, wisdom formed the foundation of human rights as it was our ability to understand reality and therefore gain knowledge of right and wrong that separated us as human beings from the world.

In her book, A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, she raised the concern related to women’ condition. She didn’t only argue for women’s equality with men in education but she also called for their equality within the law as well as their right to representation of parliamentary.

Yes, in my youth, the girls are encouraged to attend college and have a wonderful career. It is compulsory for girls till class 8 to have free education, food, and school dress. Now, girls are taking steps ahead to participate in every field and getting equal opportunities. More interesting is that the parents are taking the initiative without any gender biases to provide education to girls.

Though, as I am saddened by the decision of those families or any locality, where still the girls are a burden for families and they don’t prefer them a good quality of life through education.

In a report, it is found that there is more work to be done to encourage education, in-country like India; especially to girl’s rights to education. Many attempts have been done to escalate the social, psychological and structural barriers, for the participation of the girls in education. Even though the government and other voluntary organizations are engaged in different attempts to make awareness of the local population to the need for girl education.

One way is to make the families and societies more interested by making the school come to them instead of sending their girls to school far from home with the help of mobile schools across rural India.
