Given volume, V = 1L * (1000 mL / 1L) = 1000 mL

Since mass volume percent is 0.9%, 0.9 g salt is present in 100 mL saline

=> mass of salt present present in 1L (1000 mL) = (0.9 g / 100 mL) *1000 mL = 9 g (answer)
