Sales order processing is the most important module of order management in ERP. Whenever a sales order is generated in the order management it activates a chain of events like procuring materials from raw materials inventory and other resources. When the order is processed then it sent for the packing to deliver it on time. Then invoice is generated for the customer in order to get the payment.
With sales order management lot of information is captured in there system by ERP. This information through knowledge management can be used to understand the customers purchasing trends. These trends are then utilised in marketing campaign in order to generate more tangible lead for further orders.
