There is a correlation between impression formation and varying trait characteristics. This is shown by an experiment conducted on the model of a modified version of Asch (1964) paradigm is being used. Also known as the central trait theorem, it gives an account of the formation of traits of individuals under specific circumstances. In such circumstances, there is an absence of relevant information needed by an individual for impression. An individual often selects some of the key features of another individual which are the central traits for impression. It is from this selection that a person is able to make attribution regarding which qualities should constitute his/ her central traits.
