Why was the Jackson Era not truly a democracy?
Though Andrew Jackson was one of the most formidable presidents of the country, his tenure served as a threat to democracy as it experience led the expansion of suffrage for only the white men of the a United States. Here slavery also became a very dominant issue and theresta shift in power from east to west where all these factors conclusively resulted not in the best interest of democracy.
