Utilities are the staple of any good administrator’s bag of tricks. These include scripts, third-party tools, etc. SQL Server has a few of its own utilities and commands that give you some insight to repair and correct issues, moving data in and out of the database to a file and connecting to SQL Server. What are some of these, how do you use them and what is the output if any?

1. Data Load / Data Unload
This SQL utility is available in the Home Page under "Utilities" section. It lets you load CSV, TSV, text file to the database. You can also load an XML. It is also possible to unload the data from the database easily with this utility.

2. Generating DDL statements
With the utility, you can generate multiple Data Definition Language statements which are used to retrieve, update and delete the data from the database. By choosing the schema, table, and type of operation.

3. Data Dictionary
With this utility, the schema of a database can be visualized and the data dictionary of each table, it's corresponding relationships, the data types, constraints, size etc can be visualized.

4. Viewing Role Privileges
This utility helps to view the privileges provided to each user or position in the database.
