Answer #1

I think what the authors were referring to when they said they used a "binary measure indicating the presence of 2 parents/caregivers," is the way they coded the answers for the survey question related to the presence of 2 parents/caregivers. They used a binary coding method of a 0 or 1 for survey question under consideration that had a “yes” or “no” response.

Problem 2 [35 points (155 15)]: Let Ti and T2 be two binary search trees containing the same elements. In this problem, you will show how to transform Ti into T2 (i.e. Ti is altered to now have the same structure as T2) through a series of rotation operations. (a) Define a binary tree to be a right-going chain if no node in the tree has a left child (in other words, the tree is a linked list formed through...

In this experiment, you will measure the rate of photosynthesis in isolated chloroplasts using the dye 2,6-dichloroindophenol (DPIP). The transfer of electrons during the light-dependent reaction results in the production of H+. This H+ ion can reduce DPIP, changing its color from blue to clear. The color can be quantitatively measured with a spectrophotometer. However, in this experiment, you will qualitatively analyze your data. Write a detailed conclusion for your experiment. How did light affect the time it took for...
