Answer #1

Condensation is the phenomenon of conversion of a substance (such as water) from the vapor state to a denser liquid state due to fall in temperature of vapor state. Condensation happens when the temperature of air containing moisture decreases .

When we take a shower, tiny warm water particles are suspended by the air in the bathroom. The hotter the water is, the further apart its molecules are. When the air in the bathroom is warmed by the heat of the shower, to some high temperature the air becomes saturated with moisture. As the water droplets come into contact with cooler surfaces such walls, the toilet or the mirror, they are cooled and condensed back into liquid form.

This condensation takes place until the surface temperature of the mirror become the same as or greater than the temperature of the air in the bathroom.

Hence, condensation of steam on a bathroom mirror actually warms the room.
