Answer #1

In general, the atomic radius is increases in a group from top to bottom because the atomic number is increases, number of orbits are increases for the accodimidation of increased electrons. ( the electrons enetered into new orbits.)

the atomic radius is decreases in a period from left to right because the electrons are entered into the same orbit. so nucleous attraction is increases.

a) Mg or Sr

Sr is larger atomic radius.

These two are II A group elements. when the atomic number increased, the radius is also increases.

b) Rb or Ca

These two are period elements.

Rb is large atomic radius. In a period , the atomic radius is decreases.

c) S or Te

The two are the 16th group elements.

Te has larger atomic radius because down the group atomic radius increases.

d) I or Sn

Sn has large atomic radius because these two are period elements.
