1. Toyota's International strategy:
Basically Toyota being Japanese organisation, it uses Japanese strategies across the globe to attain success. It follows KAIZEN Strategy, which is continuous improvement entirely dependent on improving processes, quality, methods, etc.
KAIZEN is across functional strategy which involves the whole departments come together and function according to the shared goals of the organisation at the central level. Toyota is the leader in auto industry across the globe in research and development progress of the organisation, the major strategy followed is to improves its product quality.
Innovative solutions of the organisation are developed based on the technological expertise int he organisation. Major strategy is to build much more advancements in production facilities at the organisation. This has been the strategy of the organisation to penetrate into foreign markets.
2. Toyota's organisational structure:
Toyota has a division organisation structure in which there is a global team for devising and formulating global strategies at the organisation level.
Under them there are geographic divisions who take care of the operations at the geographic divisions, heads are responsible for the global team and help the global team achieve their success at the geographic divisions.
Under them there are product based divisions that make the product decisions that are required on the spot to make the smooth operational flow
At the end of the day every team and division is responsible for the global team and attain the organisational goals at the global level.
Global team is ultimate power and supreme in the organisation who plan and formulate the strategies while the other two implement them at their regional level.
3. Toyota's market entry strategy:
Toyota has made straight investments in foreign markets to enter and spread its brand image across the globe. Toyota also has its franchisee stores across the globe for the sales and service of vehicles. Franchisees are offered to only those dealers who have many networks to engage many customers at the store and can influence people on the benefits of the vehicles. This has made Toyota stand ahead of its competition.
4. Toyota Global Production:;
Toyota's production is based on complete elimination of waste, this has enabled people, Toyota has used trial and error methods to enhance quality of its products.
Toyota follows set of principles for its production management. Those are:
i). Over the years it has reduced set up time.
ii). Small production of lots and quality enhancement.
