How much water is needed starting at 0°C heating up and boiling away to solidify 1005 grams of molten aluminum at 660°C. Assume all of the heat from the aluminum goes into just enough water to raise the temperature and then boil the water away.
A) Find an equation for the mass of the water. hint ( mass of water)= (mass of alum) (Lf/ cw)( Tw )+(Lv) {w for water, al for aluminum}
B)Calculate the numerical result in grams.

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
