now since we know the weight of a brick i.e 25 N.

we can measure the weight of a baseball using a meter stick and a pivot.

place the meter stick on the pivot such that it balances out ,

place the brick on one side of the balanced stick and baseball on the other side.

check carefully which side lowers down . the side that lowers down has more weight than the other.

eg : if baseball lowers down means it is heavier than the brick.

so what we do is we start adding weight to the upper side that is to the side where brick is placed untill the balance becomes balanced.

now when the pivot or the balance is balanced we can count the weight as --- the weight of brick +(the amount of weight added) = total weight of baseball
