Could the State of Illinois lawfully restrict the transportation of hazardous materials and or waste from the State Indiana through the State of Illinois?Why? Why not?Explain in detail.

Hazardous waste is a harmful substance that can cause threat to public health or environment. Many states regulate the transportation of hazardous waste and radioactive materials. Some states has clearly defined the kind of waste that can be considered as hazardous.

At present, 15 states in U.S require to register with the state for hazardous waste transporters. State of Illinois is no longer in AUHTP ( Alliance for uniform hazmat transportation procedure). It means permission for hazardous transporters is not allowed. So, The state of Illinois can lawfully restrict the transportation oh hazardous materials or waste from state Indiana and other states as well.
