Some people are more likely to vote than others. Older persons vote more frequently than younger people. Wealthy voters make it to the polls more often than poor voters. What might cause older and wealthier individuals to exhibit greater turnout?
One of the most important reasons for the older people to come to vote is that they have more patriotic feel than the younger ones as they had never seen the struggles of the nation with wars and initial developments. Youngsters feel that it’s not their business to be sincere in terms of voting because they feel that they would get all the benefit no matter who rules them or that their life wouldn’t have any change no matter who rules them. Older people on the other hand believes that it’s they who would decide the course of the nation by voting for the right person. Most of the time, it’s the wealthy who decide the fate of a nation as politics is run by the wealthy. They would either benefit or lose some benefits depending on the party that comes to power. Thus, they would be very mindful of voting to choose someone who would support them further.

Many people now spend more screen time in front of their computers than in front of the television. It also allows people to create and distribute violent media themselves, and to bully others through email, instant messaging, or on social networking websites (Donnerstein, 2011). In a survey of European adolescents, one-third reported...

The Washington State Department of Health lists the parents’ occupations on birth certificates. Between 1980 and 1990, 555 children were born to fathers who were chemists. Of these births, 273 were girls. During this period, 48.8% of all births in Washington State were...
A carbon tax is likely to be regressive (it will hurt the poor more than the rich because it takes a bigger percentage of their income). Regardless of your opinion on question 1, if a carbon tax was adopted what should we do with the money? We have several choices: (a) use it to fund more green research, (b) put it in the general fund (to be spent on anything), (c) lower payroll taxes on the bottom 40% (by the...
