what are some reasons that the Trail cameras might have captured some spaces more often than others species?

Though trail cameras record for a long time the big disadvantage is that they cover a fixed area and the species in that area only covered. Some times those species which cross the infra red lights are captured. Species restricted to a particular area are mostly covered in these trail cameras.
