A 3.0 μF capacitor, a 12 μF capacitor, and a 17 μF capacitor are connected in parallel.What is their equivalent capacitance?
Sol:
Given
Three capacitors
Let C1= 3.0 μF =3*10^-6 F
C2= 12 μF =12*10^-6 F
C3= 17 μF =17*10^-6 F
As said these three capacitors are connected in parallel.
So "when capacitors are connected in parallel their equivalent
capacitance will be the summation of all capacitances"
So
Ceq= C1+C2+C3
=(3+12+17)*10^-6
=32*10^-6
=32 μF
