The increased glucose in blood increases the sugar osmolarity. To balance the osmotic level, pituitary gland releases the hormone vasopressin or ADH. This hormones binds to the collecting duct of nephrons and increases water reabsorption. This increase the blood water volume and balances the osmolarity. Thus in person with renal failure , we can expect to find elevated glucose and ADH in blood.
