Catabolic reactions are those that break down molecules into smaller ones, and bond breakage requires energy. So then why are anabolic reactions considered endothermic when they release energy/heat, and why are catabolic reactions considered exothermic when they seemingly need energy and heat in order to break bonds? Give an in depth explanation.

Anabolic reactions are endothermic as the use energy.it make large molecule from smaller one for example make protein molecule from amino acid .anabolic reaction use those energy which already stored in the form of ATP during catabolic reactions.By removing a phosphate group thus it converts into ADP.This ADP then converted back to ATP when it gets another phosphate to the molecule.
